Terms of Service
Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of Pocket. By using Pocket, you agree to these Terms.
Effective September 30, 2026
A. Acceptance
By creating an account or using Pocket, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Pocket.
B. Service description
Pocket is a digital-drive service that lets you store, organize, and access files and folders across your devices. Depending on your plan, Pocket also provides:
- Share links — scoped links to a file, a folder, or a whole Pocket.
- Connected and Trusted Pockets — live references to another person's Pocket.
- Save to My Pocket — an independent copy saved into your own Pocket.
- Quick Transfer and Drive sessions — temporary transfers and access between your own devices.
- A Feed, where you publish your own posts and may publish them as public links.
- Demo Drops — public intakes that accept submissions from people you invite.
- A Vault — a section of your Pocket that requires an explicit unlock.
- Extra capacity funded by the Pocket Business add-on.
C. Accounts
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- Activities that occur under your account.
- Providing accurate and current information.
D. User content
You retain ownership of and responsibility for the content you upload. You grant Pocket only the limited permissions necessary to store, process, copy, transmit, and display your content as needed to provide the functionality you request. We do not claim ownership of your files.
E. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Pocket to:
- Violate any applicable law.
- Infringe the rights of others.
- Distribute malicious software or engage in abuse.
- Gain unauthorized access to systems or data.
- Harass, exploit, or harm others.
- Use share links, published posts, or Demo Drop intakes to distribute content you have no right to share.
- Attempt to disrupt or compromise Pocket or its infrastructure.
- Abuse public links or storage infrastructure.
F. Sharing responsibility
You control what you share and when. A live link opens only the file, folder, or Pocket it was created for, for as long as that Share remains active and has not expired. A live link can be forwarded, so treat it as public for as long as it works. Revoking a Share stops future access through that link; copies other people already saved are theirs.
G. Connected and Trusted Pockets
A Connected Pocket is a live reference. The content remains controlled by the source owner, who can revoke future access at any time. The connection itself consumes no recipient permanent storage. Creating transfers and connections is subject to your plan's allowance.
H. Save to My Pocket
Explicitly saving content to your Pocket creates an independent, recipient-owned copy that consumes your storage. After a successful save, source revocation does not remove your independent copy.
I. Feed and public post links
Your Feed lists the posts you create from files and folders in your own Pocket. You may publish an individual post as a public link: while that link is live and the post stays in your Feed, anyone holding it can read the post and save a copy into their own Pocket.
A published link stays under your control — you can turn it off at any time, and it stops working if you remove the post or the content behind it. Turning a link off does not delete copies that other people have already saved.
J. Demo Drops
A Demo Drop is a public intake you create and configure. You decide what it accepts, its file and size limits, and when it closes. Content submitted through a live intake is delivered into your Pocket and counts toward your storage. Closing a Drop stops new submissions; submissions you have already received remain in your Pocket. You are responsible for how you distribute a Drop link and for the content you receive through it.
K. Quick Transfer and Drive sessions
Quick Transfer uses temporary transfer sessions. Temporary sessions are intended to expire and are not a permanent storage location. A Drive session gives a signed-in device temporary access to your Pocket and can be closed at any time. You must explicitly save an item to make it a permanent part of your Pocket.
L. Vault
The Vault is a section of your Pocket that requires an explicit unlock — your Pocket password, or biometrics on a device you have approved. You can approve and revoke devices at any time, and a request to reach your Vault is surfaced to you for your decision. Vault items count toward your storage like any other content in your Pocket. You are responsible for keeping your password and your approved devices secure.
M. Storage
Available storage plans:
- Pocket — 100 GB ($4.99 USD/month or $49.99 USD/year).
- Pocket Plus — 500 GB ($14.99 USD/month or $149.99 USD/year).
- Pocket Pro — 1 TB ($24.99 USD/month or $249.99 USD/year).
A new account starts on the Free plan: 5 GB of storage, with a maximum single file of 2.5 GB. Paid plans carry higher storage and per-file limits, both shown in Settings before you confirm a plan.
Pocket Business adds 10 TB of capacity to the Pocket you already have, at $249.99 USD/month or $2499.99 USD/year. It is added on top of your plan's own storage, is never divided in advance, and is sold flat — one price for the whole 10 TB, however much of it you use, and never prorated.
Existing accounts that hold a legacy Pocket Max entitlement keep it as an existing agreement. Pocket Max is not offered to new accounts.
Users who exceed their plan's storage may be prevented from adding new permanent data while retaining appropriate access to existing content.
N. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are billed on a monthly or annual recurring basis in US Dollars. Prices, the first charge date, and the renewal amount are shown at checkout before you confirm. Your subscription renews according to the interval you chose unless you cancel before the next renewal.
Web purchases are processed by Stripe. Where Pocket is purchased through the App Store on an Apple device, Apple manages that subscription and its billing, and changes or cancellations are handled in your Apple account settings.
O. Free plan and eligible trials
New Pocket accounts start free: 5 GB of storage, 5 Quick Transfers, 5 Pocket connections and 5 share links — a one-time allowance that never refills, with no time limit on using it. Upgrade any time for the storage you choose and unlimited sharing. Creating an account does not charge your card.
Pocket Core may be offered with a 7-day trial to eligible new accounts. Where a trial is offered, the exact first-charge date and renewal amount are shown before you confirm, and billing begins when the trial ends. Pocket Plus, Pocket Pro, and the Pocket Business add-on bill from their first charge.
P. Pocket Business add-on
Pocket Business is an add-on bought on top of your personal plan, not a replacement for it: your personal plan continues unchanged, and the add-on adds its 10 TB to the same Pocket you already have, so there is nothing to switch between. It is sold flat — one price, however much of the capacity you use — billed on its own monthly or annual interval, and managed separately from your personal plan.
If the add-on ends or its payment lapses past the grace period, the added capacity comes off your Pocket. Nothing is deleted: everything already stored stays there and remains readable and downloadable, and you can add again once you are back within your plan's own storage or re-add Pocket Business.
R. Cancellation
You may manage or cancel your subscription, and the Pocket Business add-on, through the billing tools provided in Settings. Account deletion automatically cancels your active Pocket subscription as part of the deletion process.
S. Refunds
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable except where required by applicable law or where Pocket expressly determines otherwise. These rules apply to the Pocket Business add-on in the same way as to a plan. Cancelling prevents applicable future renewal, and deleting your Pocket account cancels any active Pocket subscription. Applicable statutory consumer rights remain unaffected. For billing issues, use the support options made available by Pocket.
T. Price changes
Future prices may change prospectively. Where required, we will provide appropriate notice before a price change takes effect.
U. Suspension and termination
Pocket may restrict or suspend accounts where reasonably necessary to address abuse, security concerns, or violations of these Terms. We aim to act reasonably and in proportion to the issue.
V. Service availability
The service may experience interruptions, maintenance, or outages. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability unless a separate service-level agreement applies.
W. Backups and data responsibility
Pocket is not a substitute for your own backup practices. You should maintain appropriate copies of important data. We are not responsible for data loss caused solely by factors outside our reasonable control.
X. Intellectual property
The Pocket brand, software, and related materials belong to their respective operator and licensors. Your files remain your responsibility and property, subject to applicable rights.
Y. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by applicable law. To the extent permitted by law, Pocket's liability for damages is limited as provided by applicable law.
Z. Governing law and contact
These Terms and any dispute relating to Pocket are subject to applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited. For questions about these Terms, please visit our Support page.
